What goes into the price

Your final invoice covers Tier-1 solar panels, a branded string or hybrid inverter, mounting structure (GI or aluminium rail), DC + AC cabling, AJB/DCDB protection, earthing kit, lightning arrestor, KSEB net-meter application + commissioning, and the PM Surya Ghar subsidy paperwork. We never quote a low panel price and then add structure, wiring or paperwork later.

Why prices vary roof to roof

Two homes wanting the same 5 kW system can land ₹30–40k apart. The main drivers are: roof type (RCC slab vs sloped tile vs metal sheet), shadow profile and panel tilt, distance from the inverter to the meter board, single vs three-phase supply, and whether you want a hybrid inverter with battery readiness for future expansion.

Subsidy you actually receive

Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, residential rooftop installations in Kerala receive ₹30,000 per kW up to 2 kW, ₹18,000 per kW for the third kW, and a flat ₹78,000 ceiling above 3 kW. Mastride files the application on the National Portal, uploads commissioning proof and tracks disbursal to your bank account.

Frequently asked questions

+What does a rooftop solar system cost in Kerala in 2026?

Most homes pay between ₹55,000–₹70,000 per kW installed before subsidy. After the PM Surya Ghar subsidy, a 3 kW residential system typically lands at ₹1.45–1.65 lakh out-of-pocket and a 5 kW at ₹2.25–2.55 lakh.

+Does the price include KSEB net metering and paperwork?

Yes. Mastride's quoted price includes structure, panels, inverter, AC/DC cabling, earthing, KSEB application, net-meter installation and PM Surya Ghar subsidy filing — no hidden line items.

+How long until I break even?

With Kerala's KSEB tariffs, most residential rooftop systems pay back in 3–5 years and keep generating for another 20+ years under the 25-year panel warranty.

+Are EMI and finance options available?

Yes — we work with partner banks for solar loans at 7–10% interest with tenures up to 10 years, including the PSB MSME route for commercial systems.

+Which brands of panels and inverters do you use?

Tier-1 mono-PERC and TOPCon panels (Waaree, Vikram, Adani, Premier) paired with Growatt, Deye, Sungrow or Solis inverters depending on system size and load profile.
